Coir is naturally abrasive. Test it first on a small hidden area, and avoid delicate non-stick, polished, or easily scratched surfaces.

Rinse it thoroughly after each use, squeeze out excess water, and hang or stand it where air can circulate. Replace it when the fibers become worn.

The natural coir portion can break down in suitable composting conditions. Remove any synthetic thread, loop, or handle hardware first.
